5/25: YONDOOR AND BEYONDOOR
Hey, folks. Dutchmogul here, back with an update for the IGG goings-on for May.
LOTS AND LOTS OF YONDOOR
Our Streets of Plasma campaign was a ton of fun. The Survival Gangs ended up winning control of the Five Boroughs (for now), and our group refocused to some extensive Passage to Yondoor play, which is mostly what we’ve been up to since.
This month’s free blog model (see below) guarding a hallway built from our upcoming ScatterBlocks designs.
Because we have a decent sized group for our regular Monday game night, our Yondoor games generally turn into a multiplayer experience. For this run, we’ve split that group into teams of two (a delver and GM each) and have been leaning into the intended one-on-one format. It’s been a fun experience with unusual energy, with multiple games happening simultaneously, each at different tables.
YONDOOR RULES UPDATE
I can’t seem to leave well enough alone, so the core rules for Passage to Yondoor have been getting some pretty big additions. There’s lots of new content for this version 1.3 update, including:
an ammo sub-system for ballistic weapons.
more enchantment effects for weapons & armor.
20 additional events (accessible via d100+d20 with certain events), plus I’ve replaced redundant/boring events with some juicier stuff.
This stuff replaces the previous free version, but if you have that older one its totally still fine and playable as is. (We sure played a lot of that build at our game tables!)
You can grab the 1.3 version of the rules now (for free, as always), and if you haven’t downloaded the core set with all the 3d printable bits & bobs, now is as good a time as any!
UPCOMING KICKSTARTER: LEGACY OF THE VANDAL PONTIFF
We have a ton of Passage to Yondoor expansions in the works in various stages of completion, but Legacy of the Vandal Pontiff will be the first to get a release. Launching on Kickstarter in early June, this rules supplement and miniatures set will introduce a boss-monster that you can use to cap off a delver’s run.
MAY FREE MINIATURE: BANDIT
For this month’s miniature entry, we’ve got a great axe-wielding bandit variant to give your Yondoor encounters a little pep. Though not equipped with a ranged weapon (like the standard bandit) this ruffian is a bit beefier and can dish out even more damage in close combat.
Whether you’re printing the FDM support free STL or using the pre-supported resin version, download the zip file below and get to printing! The zip also includes a rules for use in Passage to Yondoor (or any other CRUX-based game).
Thanks for reading and we hope you’ll be back next month. Until then, happy gaming!
