2/26: CRUX is the Crux

Hey, folks. With a humongous workload, February fell upon us like a demonic bird of prey and we’re just now getting around to this whole blogging thing. But hey, better late(ish) than never! In similar timing, we squeaked our way into the tail end of Zine Quest with a short campaign for a print run of CRUX Universal Roleplaying books (which still has a few days to go as of posting).

This is all to celebrate a new format of those time-tested rules. You can get a WIP version of that codex from our site now, with a finished version coming (update pending) before we print and ship the books. We’re also working on CRUXworld, a full setting book that will serve as an example of what can be made with the material found in the book and we can’t wait to share that one.

CRUX is at the center of just about everything we produce, and it’s been good (if very time consuming) to focus on keeping those core rules up to date with all the games we’ve been making with it over the last few years. It’s also been great to have with the various system-agnostic supplements we collect from other creators (as pictured below). Do you all have any system-agnostic books you like that aren’t shown here? Let us know in the comments! (We’re always looking for more.)

March Preview: Wrath & Ruin

Another huge project we’ve been working on is a finished commercial version of Wrath & Ruin. This physics-based miniatures skirmish game got a partial release (way) back during our very first ScatterBlocks Kickstarter campaign, and we haven’t revisited it since. This game will finally be seeing the light of day, with Patreon and Tribes supporters getting in on the ground floor with the beta release in March. This one is a whole lot of fun, and one of our more accessible tabletop experiences. Expect to hear a lot more about this one in our March blog post.

February Free Miniature: Reln Luminary

For this month’s free (and FDM support-free) STL, we have a alien dignitary miniature, along with a short CRUX supplement with info on using the species (reln) as an origin archetype (an excerpt from the adventure module; Twilight at the Bazaar of Tenfold Wonders, which is getting an updated version soon). As always, there’s also a pre-supported version included for those who want to print in resin. Happy gaming, folks,
