August 2026: Working Through Grief

It’s only been a month and a half since we lost Laurel, and time has really been dragging since. Work has been slow, but we’ve made some progress, and we’re looking to a future where things become a bit more bearable. We’re missing her so much, and working through grief isn’t easy, but it does help to know that she would have wanted us to do just that. For myself, keeping up with these regular rituals (the monthly blog and Multiverse Monday miniatures) is really important. This entry will be short and sweet, but I’m here to check in and drop a free miniature STL.

“Battle Damage” Rooster versus Clockface

We resumed work on our survival horror skirmish RPG, MEAT, giving the game a new coat of paint by reformatting the core rules (with some slight changes) and even began work on some expansions for future releases. We suspended our Monday game nights for a while, but recently resumed those, and it’s been all about play testing that game since. (You can see a bit of that in my recent IG posts.)

August Free Miniature: Nexus Security Agent

With the MEAT revamp primed for a beta release on Patreon & Tribes, I’ve turned my attention back to our Waystation Abraxas project (a sub-setting within our CRUXworld/Nexus City lore). More on that soonish, but this month’s model is a security agent armed with a sonic rifle. Prints FDM support-free as per usual, and a pre-supported version for resin printing is also included.
